Karla Despradel is a seasoned multidisciplinary strategist and designer with over a decade of experience working with international clients. Specializing in human-centered solutions, Karla is known for creating, developing, and guiding innovative strategies that solve complex challenges. With an MFA in Design for Social Innovation and a BFA in Communication Design, her expertise spans strategic planning, design frameworks, and data-gathering tools that inform decision-making.

Throughout her career, Karla has made a significant impact across various industries. At Mount Sinai’s Arnhold Institute for Global Health, she optimized patient experiences. As a Senior Design Strategy Consultant at Doblin by Deloitte, she worked with global clients to develop innovative solutions to tackle complex challenges. Her role as a Communication Consultant for Chemonics + USAID in the Dominican Republic focused on strengthening the justice system through strategic communication and human-centered interventions. Karla has provided expertise in strategy and research to clients in health, education, and social sectors, creating impactful interventions.

At HumanXDesign, Karla leads collective efforts to build partnerships that bridge the gap between the private and social sectors, creating lasting, meaningful impact in the region.
